His artistic specialty is the crafting of minutely detailed still life and floral compositions. By using a mixed media technique, Douglas manages to create powerful, free-flowing abstracts that are layered with texture and color. In addition to his extensive experience in painting , he has explored the medium of freestanding , hand-painted steel sculptures, as well as wall reliefs suffused with the intricate geometries of mosaic and tile work.
